“Illusion of Control”

Artist: Sandeep Rajoriya

“Illusion of Control” exposes one of the profound truths of the Gita—that man believes he is
the doer, yet all actions are driven by nature’s forces under the will of the Supreme. The
painting reflects the fragile pride of ego which assumes mastery, forgetting that destiny
unfolds in accordance with divine law.
When the ego clings to control, suffering arises. But when one surrenders, seeing oneself as
an instrument of the Divine, peace descends. The illusion of control is shattered, and true
freedom begins—not in dominating life, but in flowing with it.
This artwork reminds the seeker to release the false ownership of deeds, to embrace humility,
and to walk the path of surrender. In this surrender lies strength, for it reveals the eternal hand
that guides all beings.

Bhagavad Gita Reference:
“प्रकृ तेः िक्रयमाणािन गुणैः कमार्िण सवर्शः।
अहङ्कारिवमूढात्मा कतार्हिमित मन्यते।।”
(Chapter 3, Verse 27)
Meaning: All actions are performed by the modes of nature, yet the deluded ego thinks “I am
the doer.”
